I just used AI to simulate the collective voice of Reddit over a specific product idea. The ability to scale community intelligence and simulate cross-functional product dynamics with this level of nuance was pretty mind-blowing. 😮
-I created 2 AI agents: one pro and one against the product concept of a smart fridge ordering groceries on its own.
-I then had them have a DEBATE over the idea and promoted the "pro" agent to a Product Manager and tasked it with converting the "against" agent. I essentially simulated internal alignment and persuasion strategy.
- I was able to simulate the collective voice of Reddit, engineer a realistic stakeholder debate, and map out what it would take to move skeptics toward adoption—all in a few prompts using Perplexity.
The ability to scale community intelligence and simulate cross-functional product dynamics with this level of nuance was pretty mind-blowing.
Detailed Instructions:
Go to Perplexity
Type ‘Would <persona> be interested in <product you are interested in>?’
Make sure to only have the ‘social’ filter on that searches on Reddit
Now, create two agents, type: ‘Create two agents based on all the learnings you just got, one that is PRO this product and one that is AGAINST. Have them debate with each other until one is convinced. Have the pro advocate for the product and see what it would take to convince the AGAINST agent, and give me a list of the minimum features to convince the AGAINST agent.
